Rejected for platinum card application.what to do next?

iceprincess236 asked:

My credit score according to freecreditreport.com is 740. I have no delinquencies or late payments and 2 years worth of credit card use. One of my two credit cards is 2 months old the other is 2 years old. My income is also over $40000/yr in a job I have had for 8 months and I have a $400/month mortgage with no late payments on that either. Discover card company rejected me for a platinum card (I am seeking future rental-car collision insurance protection from a credit card which is why I need a platinum card).

Is there any type of platinum card I would be eligible for with my statistics and/or what could I do to improve my credit rating so as to obtain a leading platinum card such as Discover?

American Express Corporate Card/ Bad Credit?

axium12 asked:

I was just asked to fill out an Amex Corp Card Application so I can be issued a company card. My question is due to some bad decisions with friends and family my credit is shot. I am currently working with all debtors and am slowly paying them all off. My score is currently low and I have been promoted in my company. If the company is the underwriter but the application is requesting my SS# and current address, will my negative credit affect them issuing me a card ? I really do not want this to adversly affect my long standing relationship with my employer.

Question about credit card?

aj lewis asked:

Hey guys… thought I’d ask this here, I got a credit card about two years ago and just about four months ago I hit a financial road block and have been unable to make much payments. They sent me to collections recently and they have (collection agency), understandably, been calling a lot, however I explained my situation many times but they do not stop calling.

Just recently they have been calling my girlfriend’s house and I am not sure HOW they got her number. Her number is not listed which is even weirder. They call once every two weeks or so though. I did not put it on my card application because I was not with her at the time.

Do you know how this collection agency coulda got her number? And how I could get them to stop calling there?
